Visitors are invited to respond directly on the studio walls\, sharing memories\, observations\, questions\, and personal connections to Ogden. These contributions become an active part of Fabri’s creative process\, influencing both his time in the studio and the resulting exhibition. \n  \nFor this POP-UP exhibition\, Fabri Drew from the architecture of OCA and locations throughout Ogden\, creating a new site-responsive video work that investigates how we relate to the places we inhabit and the stories we leave behind. \n“If the future is projection and a theory\, how do we archive our memories? Where are they located?”\n— Zachary Fabri \nThrough collective participation\, Where is Your Ogden asks us to consider how identity is shaped by place\, how communities evolve\, and how memory can become part of a living archive.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]

SUMMARY:3-Day Collage Making Workshop with Andrew Rice
DESCRIPTION:Workshop Info\nDate and Time: The class is a 3-part class that must be attended on all 3 dates\, it’s on the 28th\, 29th\, and 30th from 5:30-7 PM each day\n\nAddress: Ogden Contemporary Arts Studio #32 |  455 25th Street\, Ogden\, UT 84401\n\nDescription\n\nJoin OCA Teaching Artist\, Andrew Rice in this 3 day class…\n\nThis workshop introduces collage as both a formal and conceptual art-making practice. Collage\, as an art medium\, operates between control and chance. It is centered around existing images that carry prior meaning and get reappropriated into new compositions. Collage is an adaptable practice that merges past and present\, intention and chance.\n\nParticipants in the workshop will create multiple small-scale collage works that explore both narrative and non-narrative composition. Emphasis is placed on form and composition\, layering\, texture\, and the investigation of 2-dimensional space through the recombination of found imagery.\n\nCollage will be framed as a process of recontextualization—where fragments of existing images are reassembled to generate new meanings and visual relationships.\n\nEmphasis will be placed on experimentation and exploration while developing an understanding of spatial relationships\, allowing intuition and coincidence to guide decisions.\n\nPart of our Artist Factory exhibition\, inspired by Radical Joy and the dialogue between Teaching Artists and student voices.\n\nCome experiment and see what emerges.\n\n\nArtist Bio:\n\nAndrew Rice has always called the Rocky Mountain West region his home. Born in Aspen\, CO\, he received his BFA in printmaking from the University of Colorado in Boulder and his MFA in Salt Lake City\, UT at the University of Utah. Rice is currently Lecturer\, Printmaking and Printmaking Studio Manager at Weber State University in Ogden\, UT.\nRice also runs the pop-up gallery\, erosion_SLC out of his private studio\, showcasing small solo exhibitions of 3 pieces by each artist.\nEmail: andrewrice82@gmail.com\nInstagram: @purplehat
